Location and Description of the port :
Petkim Petroleum and chemical complex is situated in Nemrut Bay laying at the north-eastern coast. Mostly chemicals
and petroleum derivatives are handled. Only one berth is assigned for general cargo handling which is used solely for the
installations' own needs.
Pilotage :
Compulsory. Provided by the administration
Towage :
Not compulsroy upto 1 000 GRT.
1 tugboat compulsory between 1 000- 4 000 GRT.
2 tugboats compulsory for vessels over 4 000 GRT.

Bunker :
Unavailable. Should it be provided by the suppliers, permission is to be requested from the administration due to
safety reasons.

Handling Equipment:
At tanker berths, fixed line system is assigned. Various mobile cranes are available at general cargo berth. 2x3 tons
cranes on rail are available at NR.3 Salt berth
Bulk handling facilities :
A grain silo of 95 000 ton capacity will be constructed and the silo will have conveyor system connection with the wuay. The
construction is scheduled for completion in 1992.
Air access :
İzmir Airport is 100 km. away from the installations.
Land access :
Connected with highway network.
